Washer Beeps

when starting a load after a few minutes it stops and washer beats. I have learned if you hit power button the washer will then drain and after a few minutes will shut itself off. At that point I can start the washer again and it completes the whole cycle with no issues. This happens with every load. Periodically I go in and clean out the drain pump. What can I do to make doing laundry less time consuming
