Does An Accident Policy Cover Chiropractor Visits?

My daughter has an accident policy. Do these policies cover more than car accidents? She fell on the ice and cut the back of her head in March. She had several stitches. Now she has developed some complications. She has gone to the Dr. and now she is going to a chiropractor. Does the insurance cover chiropractor visits? Della Mathis

The policy covers all types of accidents except those categorized as: DUI, mountaineering, felony, suicide/suicide attempt, injury from medically unnecessary procedures, war injuries, military-related, airplane piloting related, or sports-related.

I assume medical treatment was sought within 72 hours of the accident, given stitches were necessary. Therefore, Aflac should pay you the emergency treatment benefit for this.

Any other visits after this would count as "follow-ups." The plan pays for up to 6 follow-ups per the follow-up treatment benefit.
