Acer Travelmate 2350 Does Not Boot From Cd

I'm not sure if this will work but it's worth a try.
1) turn of your computer
2) unplug it
3) press the power button for 30 seconds after you count to 30 release it.
4) On the Acer screen press alt + f10 then fn + f9
5) keep doing it until the computer brings you to a alternate screen. then click restore my computer and follow the steps.
