Boot Up Issues

My Acer Aspire x1439g had a cd blow up in the cd drive. I cleaned it out well and replaced the DVD/CD drive. Now it will boot up to the Windows logo screen with the original installation disk and only to a black screen with "reboot and choose proper boot sequence...insert installation media and press any key." I have tried everything I know and researched and nothing is working. Please help!!!!

The problem related to "Insert Proper Boot Device" error is on the hard disk drive. The hard disk may have failed to function properly which requires you to replace the hard disk. I provided some tutorial videos below that provides the solution and explanation of this problem.

On boot-up when you hear the beep press the del key to go to the bios settings.

in the boot devices section select your hard drive as a boot device at the the top of the list or under the cd-dvd device at vthe top of the list.

this list the device boot order or boot device sequence
