Battery Isn't Showing As Being Charged

i have had the battery plugged into the mains for a long period of time and isnt showing as being charged

It's possible the battery is either dead or dying. You might want to look into getting a new one.

If you are not getting the charging symbol, means that your battery is fully charged. if you are half way and you are still not getting the charging symbol, it may be the dc pin connector. Try removing your ac plug and replugging it back in. Does it show that's it's charging? Try slightly moving the power cable, does it say it's charging? If it does say it's charging but when you let go of the cable and it's not charging anymore, sounds like you will have to send the unit in for repair to get the power plug serviced. As a last step, remove your battery and try plugging it back in. If it still doesn't show charging, then you will need to send the unit in for service.
