Aspire One D250 External Speaker Jack

external & enternal speakers on at same time, jiggling the plug results in short term remedy. contact cleaner and air...no results Has anyone replaced the jack...is it serviceable..ie: does it work via spring loaded contacts that can be re-bent. thank you

It seems you have diagnosed the issue already I agree with you and would say it's a faulty jack. You have 2 options here:

Send it into ACER and pay a ton! (unless covered by warranty)

OR

Repair it yourself using a soldering iron (Can be difficult if you don't know how to solder on components.)

If you're going to repair it yourself, then you will need to find a dissassembly video or instruction manual and remove the whole entire motherboard from the casing. There may be a way where soldering isn't required and it's just a plug that you plug in new one in, however you will most likely have to unsolder and resolder in a new one or fix the current jack that you have.

It seems by your own diagnostics that you realize the problem is with the phonejack.. The only way to determine it's condition is to take the back off & inspect for loose wiring bent compression contacts, etc. I wish you the best.
