How To Fix Acer Aspire 5810t Black Screen Problem

To verify you need a new screen, get a regular desktop monitor and plug it into the VGA port. Pressing down the FN key and the hotkey will switch between the 2 screens (think its F7 or F8 on your model -- look for the little icon on the key).
If the external monitor looks good, you gotta change the LCD.
