Acer Aspire 5742z-4629
my acre just stopped recieving power, it was on i shut down, went to turn it on about 30 mins alter and nothing, no lights no sounds no power seems to be going to the laptop, i have tried two other power adaptors, removed and replaced ram, removed and replaced cmos batt, plz help.

You seem to have already ruled out a lot of components, and I'm guessing you also tried to boot it up without the battery installed, just to be sure it wasn't causing any problems. The two likely components left are the power board (sometimes called the power jack board) and the motherboard. The power board is by far the cheaper option. I would try that first. If it's not the power board then it's likely the motherboard, in which case a new laptop might be a more attractive option than paying for the motherboard to be repaired or replaced.
