Windows Won't Load Black Screen

Without morte info all I can do is suggest some thigns to try.
- Does the laptop boot at all?
- Can you see the splash screen?
- Can you get into the BIOS setup?
- Are any lights coming on?
- Does the hard disk spin up?
- Does it make any beeps or other noises?
- Does Windows start loading and then die?
