Acer Aspire 5517 Power Cord Does Not Stay Connected

Often when the power cord is loose and won't stay in its jack, it's because the jack has been warped or bent out of position. If you are comfortable using a soldering iron and know what you're doing, you can get a replacement jack and solder it onto the board after removing the old one. Otherwise, you'll need to replace the whole board that the power jack sits on.
