Acer 5315 Keyboard Problem
I have Acer 5315 laptop with keyboard problem. Various keys produce multiple characters and often caps lock becomes activated at the same time. On-screen keyboard and usb keyboard works ok. Windows has been eliminated by booting from a Linux live CD and the same problem exists. Also the keyboard itself has been replaced with no effect. Is there anything else I need to check or is this likely to be a motherboard problem and if so is it repairable?

Based on the details of your question, I believe that there is no problem with the motherboard as long as you can load the Windows Operating System properly. I believe that there is a problem with the keyboard hardware part of your Acer Aspire 5315 laptop. Don't worry, there are several replacement keyboards available online for this laptop. You can purchase these here:
