Single To Dual-core Processor
I have an Acer Aspire One D260. Can I replace the single core Atom processor with a dual-core?

No, from what I can tell by every Acer netbook service manual I have read the CPU is soldered in. No way to replace it withiuyt a main board change. I have not found a 260 service manual for download, only similar models.

There is a new version of the Aspire One 260 coming out soon that has a dual core CPU. Might be easier to upgrade.
