The Wire Splitter I Got Will Only Cut The Litter Wire Not The 12 Gage Wire

you probably purchased a small wire splitter, not a large gage wire cutter- they are two different products. If you had purchased a large gage wire cutter, you could use it to split smaller gage wire, but not the reverse. Make sure to tell the salesperson everything you are going to use the tool for so that they can help you purchase the correct tool... I bet he/she was trying to save you money and you only for the nippers you needed for the wire you had on hand in the store. You must be specific- Ace doesn't try to up-sale, just to get you the right equipment for your project.
