My Tech was launched in 2009 and provides you with the ability to check status and make changes.
I know that My Tech makes it sound as if you can get specialized Technical Support but it was just a way to keep people online and off the phone.
That isn't to say that you don't also have an added charge service contract because I think that's really what you have. And based upon some original installation errors when I switched to AT&T U-verse, it is probably not a bad idea. I had to have a tech person out the next day and was on the phone with Tech Support within 5 days when they wanted to charge me for the mistakes of the original tech.
