Why Do I Have To Activate My New Card?
I have never had to activate my aarp card before, why do I have to now?

Despite AARP's misleading verbiage, no activation is required for your paid-up membership card. You can verify this by phoning AARP at the number on the back of the card.
Instructions for activating your AARP Mastercard are at https://www.greendot.com/aarpfoundation/account/activate-card.
