How Do I Get Command Strip Adhesive Off Powder-coated Aluminum Coil?
I put Command Strip hooks meant for indoor use outside on my porch to suspend Christmas lights (I couldn't find the new outdoor version anywhere in my town). When I tried to remove them in the Spring, the pull-tabs broke off where the strip is right underneath the hooks. How do I get the hooks off now, preferably without taking the powder-coating off the aluminum surface to which they are attached?
