During the wait time, the message Cool On or Heat On flashes on . 7 ENGLISH PRO 1000 Series Built-in compressor protection (select models) Your thermostat has a feature that helps prevent damage to wait 5 minutes before restarting. Because damage can occur if the compressor is restarted too soon after shutdown, this feature forces the compressor to the compressor of your air conditioning or heat pump system.
