STRING HEIGHT String height is Fender's recommended spec on both the bass and treble sides. 4. That distance should be set to measure the distance between the bottom of the 17th fret. Adjust each string and the top of each bridge saddle accordingly, and keep in mind that string height can be approximately 6/64", which is more about personal preference and playing style than a pre-determined spec. Check your tuning first, then use a 6" ruler to whatever feels right for you. 24
