Use the dipstick to indicate low engine oil level. CAUTION ● This gauge is not designed to check the oil level. (See "Engine oil" in such a condition could cause serious damage to the engine. Instruments and controls 2-7 Continued vehicle operation in the "Maintenance and do-it-yourself" section.) ● If the gauge needle does not move with the proper amount of engine oil, have the vehicle checked by a NISSAN dealer.
