If retraction is over, manually return the wipers to the rest position above the hood level. The hood will spring up the auxiliary catch lever and lift the hood. 1. CAUTION Before driving, be sure that you have not forgotten any tools, rags, etc. Before closing the hood, check to see that the hood is closed and securely locked. Otherwise, the hood may occur. 66 To open unexpectedly while driving and an accident may open the hood, pull the hood lock release lever under the hood, push up slightly.
