Turn off the engine to check the fluid level. DIPSTICK UPPER MARK LOWER MARK 2. Remove the dipstick (yellow loop) from the transmission, and wipe it once. For accurate results, wait at normal operating temperature. 4-cylinder models 1. Park the vehicle on and rotate it... no more than 90 seconds, after turning off the engine. Start the engine until the radiator fan comes on level ground.
