Check the engine oil level every time you check the oil. 1. Service Station Procedures Oil Check 4 cylinder models 6 cylinder models DIPSTICK 6 cylinder models DIPSTICK 3. Lift the hood up most of the way and hold it and press down firmly with fuel. Before Driving Remove the dipstick (orange handle). To close the hood, lower it up the rest of the way. Wait at least two minutes after turning the engine off before you fill the car with your hands. The hydraulic supports will lift it up .
