A high-compression V-8 engine was introduced in the 1948 Roadmaster. The torque converter automatic transmission, Dynaflow, was introduced in the post-war era. This post-war period brought great styling and engineering changes which resulted in 1949. R '* 1 1953 Skylark 1949 Roadmaster Buick's famous "portholes" came along in increased sales. And Buick's famous vertical pillar "toothy" grille (introduced in 1942), became more massive in 1953. In World War 11, Buick built aircraft engines, tanks and other military hardware.

Push this leverup and lift the hood. I Then go to the front of the vehicle and release the secondary hood release. 1A CAUTION: An electric fan under the hood can start up and injure you even when the engine is located under the hood, near the center, and at the front edgeof the grille. I I I 235 I -. Keep hands, clothing and tools away from any underhood electric fan. The hood release is not running.
