I Want To Upgrade My Processor On My 1831. Is It Possible For I7?

Im a music producer and it is time to upgrade. I want something in the i7 world. Is it possible to get this out of an eMachine? Or do I get another desktop? Thanks, Duan

Unfortunately, your eMachines ET1831 cannot be upgraded into any Core i7 Processor. This is because the motherboard of this computer system is not compatible for Core i7 processors. Based on the eMachines support page for this device. It is only compatible with the following processors.

Intel® Core™2 Duo processor (up to 65 W)
Intel® Pentium® processor
Intel® Celeron® processor
