Emachines E630 Laptop
After plugging in, my laptop will not power up. The screen remains black. I have removed battery for an hour, still not powering up.

Check to make sure the AC adapter is working properly by checking the AC light on the laptop when it's plugged in. If the light doesn't come on then it's likely the AC adapter. If it does then it's a more serious issue. I would recommend having it diagnosed at a local repair shop if that's the case.
