Emachine E442-v133: Sensitive Keyboard; Crashing

My fingers just have to hover above the keys and/or touchpad and the cursor moves someplace else. this is very irritating. Is it adjustable? Also, the machine keeps crashing for no apparent reason. It just locks up for 10 seconds to 3 minutes and eventually comes back. Is there a fix for this? Thanks.
