How Do I Stop A New Game And Resign Without Having My Statistics Ruined

I have had surgery on my right arm and must played with my left hand only. My pinky keeps hitting that bottom bar asking for new games. How do I not play new games or how do I turn that bar off. My statistics have been ruined because I keep resigning. Please help
