Recording Midi From Yamacha Psr 4600 To Cakewalk Sonar X1

Dear Sir,The problem I have is that I can' record midi from my keyboard to computer.I have an old keyboard Yamacha Psr 4600. I have connected it to an old computer (windows xp) with cable (midi cable), which has two ends with plugs 5 pins in, out and ends at 15-pin connector, which enters to the joystick. slot I used the music program cackewalk sonar x1. I checked the midi devices input and output by putting the card (Creative Soundblaster PCI). I also have put the follow choice in the keyboard: pressing the midi button I chose from the voice select number 1.I tried to record midi having open the score of Sonar.Nothing happened. But when I write notes with the mouse into the score, these are played by the keyboard, which means that there is a computer communication with the keyboard and the keyboard takes in this case, but something is wrong with the opposite case: The Sonar does not take notes (midi in) . What happens? Rerhaps I need some other options in the keyboard and the program Sonar, but I don't know about something about them .If somebody Knows something for this problem, please tell me .
