Small Buzzing Noise In One Speaker
Can anyone tell me what may be going on with my NS 6900 front speaker? When the system is powered just one speaker , the front left, makes a distorted buzzing noise. It is low level and it buzzes the same whether there is signal being sent through the speakers or not, and volume level doesn't effect it eithe

Test whether it is local interference by moving the speaker to another part of the room. Next to the one that does not hum if the cable is long enough. If that changes nothing check that the cables are connected in the correct polarity and that if there is a missing earth. This can be checked with a wire against a radiator for example to the amplifier casing and a multimeter on the ohms range. A torch could be used instead as the link should be connected between the end of the battery and the bulb, the light should come on. Does the noise stop if the power plug is removed from the outlet? It would then point to a problem in the amplifier. Earthing issues a difficult to remedy and trail and error is the only way.
