The most common cause of a loud noise from the dishwasher is a worn out bearing. If the bearings are not replaced, it will eventually lead to failure of the motor and a costly repair bill.

The first step is to identify which type of bearing you have in your dishwasher. This can be done by looking at the lower front panel on the bottom left corner, where there should be a sticker with an illustration of a bearing with text that says "Type: FAG".
