Machine Agitates Before Filling.

The washing machine begins agitating immediately after closing the lid. It does not wait to fill with water as it originally did. It is also not spinning out the water completely. Is there a way to rectify this problem without a service representative?

What worked for me, after I had this same problem, I did two consecutive loads of the same clothing--"regular" "Normal" "hot" and extra rinse feature turned off.  I did exact same settings twice in a row and it cleared out  I hope this helps someone else.  It is a pain though.
