Washer Will Not Stop Filling

my washer will not stop filling it does everything else but i have to turn off the water how do i fix this

Hi. There are two common causes. The machine has a pressure switch to detect the water level. The hose may have come away from the pressure switch, or it may be faulty. Secondly, there is a solenoid valve which shuts off the water when the pressure switch activates. The valve may have failed, or the inlet hose may be leaking into the bowl area. If you are not handy with machines, have a technician check it for you.
