If yourWhirlpool WRF555SDFZ ice maker is not working. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to identify the issue:

1. Check the power supply: Ensure that the refrigerator is properly plugged into a functioning power outlet. You can also check the cord and power switch for any visible damage.

2. Verify the freezer temperature: The ice maker requires the freezer to be set at the appropriate temperature. Make sure the freezer temperature is set between 0 to 5 degrees Fahrenheit (-18 to -15 degrees Celsius). If the temperature is too high, the ice maker may not produce ice.

3. Clear any ice blockages: Check the ice maker and ice storage bin for any ice blockages that may be preventing proper ice production. Clear any ice buildup or obstructions and make sure the ice bin is properly seated.

4. Ensure the water supply is connected: Confirm that the water supply line is connected to the refrigerator and the water valve is fully open. Look for any kinks or holes in the water line that may be restricting water flow. If necessary, try disconnecting and reconnecting the water line securely.

5. Check the water filter: If your refrigerator has a water filter, it's important to regularly replace it according to the manufacturer's instructions. A clogged or expired filter could be impeding water flow to the ice maker.

6. Test the ice maker switch: Make sure the ice maker switch is turned on. It is typically located inside the freezer above or beside the ice bin. If it's turned off, simply toggle the switch to the "On" position.

7. Inspect the ice maker components: Check the ice maker itself for any visible damage, loose connections, or broken parts. Look for any ice cubes stuck in the ice maker's cube tray or chute that may be blocking the ice-making process.

If after performing these steps the ice maker still does not work, it may be best to contact Whirlpool customer service or schedule a service visit from a certified technician. They will have the expertise to diagnose and resolve any underlying issues more accurately.
