My Gi5fsaxvy03 Whirlpool Gold Keeps Shutting Off I Disconnected It For A Few Min

I disconnect the fridge for a few minutes and connect it and it works fine for a few hours but then shuts down agai

There are 2 controls on this model that will shut the unit off completely. The cold control (thermostat) and the defrost control board (ADC board). If you are shutting the unit off and on with the thermostat knob and the unit starts running, the thermostat will need to be replaced.

If you are unplugging, then reconnecting the power cord and the unit runs, the problem will be with the ADC board. By disconnecting the power and reconnecting it, this resets the ADC board and it will need to be replaced. Both of these parts are available @ www.searspartsdirect.com
