Hi, My hp pavillion dv2000 HD is WD800BVES-60LATO.
I am finding difficulty to get one ( price is high).
can I use any WD800BVES with my Laptop? What is 60LATO stands for?

Yes, you can use any western digital hard disks for you laptop. In fact, you can even use other brand of hard disk like SeaGate. However, the most important thing that you have to consider is the capacity of you r hard disk drive as well as its compatibility with the processor. Of course, you cannot install a 1 terabyte hard disk if you only run pentium 3 processor.
