My Passport Pn Not Recognized By Windows 8.1 On Dell Inspirion
My Passport 00 not recognized by Windows 8.1 64 bit on Dell Inspirion i5 3330 3GHz system. Hardware is recognized and functions on another older computer operating Win 7 I have tried having windows look for it and nothing. I have moved it around to different usb ports (2 and 3). Help appreciated...

This link is another user who has a similar issue with your model of drive. It is from the WD forum and an interesting part is that there are drives designed specifically for media rather than data and one has to buy the one that supplies your needs.
