Drive Not Detected In Bios
Hi,
I have this model wd5000aaks-65yga0 se16 and from few days it sometimes not detected in bios but now , it deos not appear at all
all motherboards I tried on report that there is a hrd drive but without any paramteres
a technician adivec to reinstall a firmware , should I do that ? and where to get the firmware ?

Unfortunately if the firmware on your WD5000aaks is corrupted you won't be able to access the drive regardless of any attempts. Western Digital doesn't install the firmware for the drive in the PCB ROM; it is installed on hidden sectors of the disk itself. It's a design flaw on what is otherwise an excellent hard drive.
