Vtech Mobigo Will Not Stay On Keeps Cutting Off Before Or During Games ?

brought game for sions xmas present dec 2011 off amazon and it stopped working after a few weeks. unable to send back to amazon as we are passed 30 days. son upset changed  batteries just will not stay on.
