Lost Battery Cover

My granddaughters loved their Kidijamz toy but lost the battery cover and we cannot get the batteries to stay in well enough to make good contact in order for the thing to work. So I noticed that it has an AC adapter hole but Vtech no longer has these adapters and I don't have a clue what kind to search for. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
