Innotab Not Responding When Screen Is Tapped. Why Is This Happening?

If you look at the edge of the touchscreen,there is a small gap between the housing and the touchscreen.If something gets lodged under here food,dirt,debris,etc. It will cause downward pressure on the edge of the screen. Eventually the screen will freeze during game play and then not respond at all.With the power off, Clean this gap with a small pointed object,needle, safety pin.USE EXTREME CARE as not to damage the housing or screen and the seal which is further back under the housing. It was a sprinkle from a donut that caused my grandsons touchscreen to freeze and eventually stop responding.
