Car Will Not Start When It Gets Hot

My 1999 Volvo S70 will not start when it gets hot.  Do you have any suggestions?

My guess is the crankshaft position sensor is defective. When it goes completely, you won't be able to start the car at all. It's acting up when it gets hot, but it will eventually stop working, even when the car is cold. 

It's usually located right behind or next to the harmonic balancer (crankshaft pulley, looks like a small wheel).
