How To I Connect My Dvd Player To The Tv?

the tv has no yellow video port -- only the red and white audio ports.

there are several ways to hook the DVD output to your model (see page 14): http://store.vizio.com/documents/downloads/hdtv/E321VL/961UM_E321-371VL.pdf

The DVD model makes the difference in what options you have. Look at the connectors on the DVD and you will see at least one set of outputs. Since you have a HDTV you will want to hook-up the highest resolution output to get the best picture. The lowest resolution connection is the composite (yellow for video, red and white for the stereo audio), simply hook like colors from your DVD to the TV using the jacks on the TV labeled (4) on page 14. If you DVD has the component outputs (green, red, and blue for the video and red and white for the audio) then hook them to those labeled (6). Note you might have to enter the DVD menu to properly use these ports (increasing it to a progressive output). Finally the best resolution is the HDMI, hook them to jack labeled (1) or (2).
