People On Three And O2 Cannot Access My Number On Virgin Mobile

I have a catchy number and had it transferred from Three over three years ago. I have become aware over the past 8 months that some networks are unable to contact this virgin number. I have another virgin number that people from those networks can contact - it is just this number. I have done all the standard things, updating software, hard drive reboot, back to factory setting - been into a virgin mobile shop, spoken to tech support and followed repetitive instruction on about six different occasions but friends from Three and o2 tell me that when they try and contact me they get a message that says 'you have not been given permission to access this service'. Can anyone help...
