Direct Debit

I signed up for direct debit to pay my mobile bill each month. Last months bill was the first one I've had to pay (on a plan) and i signed up for Direct Debit as soon as I received the bill and it said (once my sign up with complete and confirmed) that 'in the future, your bills will be automatically credited to your account on the due date'. Last months bill is due today, and it has not yet been paid and its status is 'overdue'. Will it go through today or not? What do I do?
