Does Aarp United Health Care Medicap Insurance Pay For Shingles Vaccine?

Yes, it's covered under the part d (aarp) United Healthcare plan.  The problem is that it's still very expensive.  $95.00

If this is really preventive, why is it that it's the highest tier in our part d coverage.  Also, why isn't it just covered in a doctors visit, like a pneumonia vaccine.  Sounds to me someone's just trying to make money at our expense AGAIN!  

I received the rx from my doctor, drove to 4 pharmacies before I found one who had the vaccine.  It took them an hour to determine that it would cost $95.  It costs $219. without any insurance.   I would expect the $95. tier to apply to more expensive drugs.
