Why Does The Timeline Move From Where I Left Off When I Load New Tweets

When I load new tweets after being away from twitter for a few hours the screen moves ahead and I have to scroll back to find where I left off/ find the last tweet that I read so I don't miss a tweet, is there a way to fix this? Sometimes I have to do this multiple times until all of the tweets load.

This isn't a glitch or anything. It's just how Twitter works. When you load new Tweets it will always show the latest one.
