Replacing the auger cable on a Troy-Bilt 3090 snowblower can be a bit tricky, but it is definitely doable with a little bit of patience and the right tools. Here are the steps you'll need to follow:
  1. First, make sure the snowblower is turned off and unplugged.
  2. Remove the spark plug wire from the spark plug to prevent the engine from starting accidentally.
  3. Locate the auger control lever and the control cable. The control cable is located on the handlebar and is connected to the auger control lever on the side of the snowblower.
  4. To remove the cable, you'll need to use a pair of pliers to pull the cable out of the control lever. Carefully pull the cable out of the control lever, taking care not to damage the cable.
  5. Once the cable is removed, you can thread the new cable through the control lever. Make sure the new cable is properly aligned and seated in the control lever.
  6. Reinstall the spark plug wire and test the auger control lever to make sure the new cable is working properly.

It is recommended to consult the user manual for further instructions and safety precautions. It's also important to make sure the new cable is the correct size and type for your specific model.
