Replacing Broken Door/trunk Handles

When I pulled the door handle on the driver's door, the base came along with it and pulled away from the door panel.  I was able to open the door as long as I could push the base back in place.  How to fix? And then when I opened the rear liftgate, something gave way (the handle sort of collapsed, becoming unengaged with the latch mechanism and felt completely unmoored). I would like to either repair or replace the broken parts.  How can I do that? Thanks in advance 1
