Need Advise, Please

Bought this DVD player 5/3/10. For past year it's not playing DVD's well... mostly pixels and freezing up. Same movies play well on my laptops. I took it on a plane and couldn't watch any of my movies due to this problem- a HUGE disappointment on a 6-hour flight!!! Don't you thin a player should last more than a little more than barely two years? PLEASE tell me how I can get this fixed. I'm a huge movie fan and don't like lugging around my laptop, which is much bigger and heavier. Sure hope you have a favorable solution for this problem.
