How To Remove A Laptop Hard Disk Password For Toshiba Mk2546gsx Hdd2d90 Zk01
I received a laptop from an old friend and Im booting it up and the machine is asking me for the HDD PASSWORD:? and I dont have the HDD password with me. Can anyone help me? the HDD specs are as follows
2.5' HDD TOSHIBA MK2546GSX HDD2D90 ZK01

You cannot remove it.
You'll need to completely reformat the drive and then it still may not let you depending on how it was encrypted.
To remove it it must be installed back into the same system it was encrypted on and decrypted there with the appropriate password.

The password can certainly be removed. Find a data recovery company in your area that has access to an Atola or PC-3000. Removing the ATA password with one of these devices is trivial. The drive DOES NOT need to be reformatted, and if the password removal is done properly, you will not lose any data whatsoever.
